I was shocked and saddened to hear that Trudy had passed away. I have many fond memories of Trudy (and Mel) and having known Mel since the mid 70’s when he and I both lived in Yellowknife and Trudy since both became partners in life, I recall the numerous times we visited them in Saskatoon and the great conversations we had. Since Mel’s failing health required them to live apart, Trudy was a fantastic caregiver for Mel. Trudy was a fine and generous lady and being partnered with Mel made them, in my mind, a perfect match. I especially recall the time they stayed at our place in Arizona one winter where they both enjoyed the sunshine and met new folks who are also mourning her loss. I will miss the frequent calls to Trudy to get an update on Mel but also to see how she was doing. In every chat, she was positive and upbeat which I will always remember her as being. My heartfelt condolences to the family during this most difficult time.
