Obituary of Daniel Arthur Skaret
With a lifetime of love and memories to cherish, the family of Daniel Arthur Skaret announces his peaceful passing at home on Dec 6, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda; children David (Kim Hartley-Skaret), Diane (Lowell Johnson), and Gregory (Heather Austin-Skaret); grandchildren Siri Johnson, Karley Skaret, Jamie Johnson, and Jill Skaret.
Daniel was born October 29, 1935 in Camrose AB, to Bertina and Arthur Skaret, where he studied at Camrose Lutheran College, and Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute, followed by his B.Sc. at University of Alberta, and received his appellation as a Chartered Accountant in Edmonton. In 1964, he moved to Saskatoon to become Executive Secretary for the Board of Trustees of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada; thereafter he worked in church affiliated organizations of ELCIC, Lutheran World Federation in Zambia and Zimbabwe, Lutheran Theological Seminary and LutherCare Communities. He enjoyed his involvement with the Saskatoon Kiwanis Club, pottery, golf, and curling.
The way he lived his life is the legacy he gave to all.
