John Cope posted a condolence

My deepest condolences to the family. I am an architect in Saskatoon and was fortunate to be able to work for Phil as a student in 1986 for an eight month work term. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for Phil, and appreciated his mentorship, guidance and character. I learnt a lot about architecture and the profession from Phil. I always enjoyed Phil's sense of humour and the overall positive atmosphere in the office.
I was very pleased when Phil was awarded the honour of lifetime membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Architects. It was very well-deserved.
I was not able to attend the celebration of Phil's life this afternoon but wanted to convey my sympathies and express how well respected and well regarded Phil was. He will be missed by many people.
My deepest regards,
John Cope
