To the Ash family - I was so very sad to hear of Katherine’s passing. It would be impossible to fully put into words what she meant to me. The word “step-mother” does not even graze the surface.
Katherine was a calm, loving, guiding (and funny!) presence in my life at a time that was so very messy and turbulent. It takes a very special woman to live with and love a strong willed teenage girl, but Katherine managed to do it with grace and love.
She was all the things I needed at that time and I am forever grateful for her influence in my life.
