Michael Darren Belliveau
March 2, 1961 – February 5, 2024

Michael Darren Belliveau was born on March 2, 1961 to his parents; Dennis and Joanne. Mike grew up in Saskatoon and graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1979.

He always had a passion for music and excelled as the lead guitarist in the band “Stradbrook” before attending post-secondary at Mount Royal in Calgary, AB. There he followed his passion of the law as he took a Corrections course for 2 years. He then carried on to Simon Fraser University in B.C. to obtain a degree after 3 years in Criminology. He used his schooling to become a paralegal for Legal Aid in Saskatoon, SK before transferring to continue his work in Swift Current, SK. There, he would also start his family, with his first child Lindsay. While there he also became a deputy sheriff/ local register working for the Queens Bench, as well as a youth worker. Mike and his family then moved to Regina where they welcomed their second Child Coleman.

The final stage in Mike's career was working at the correctional centre in Regina, SK as a case worker before going on Long Term Disability in 1999. Mike was extremely proud of his family. He could tell you stories forever about what everyone was up to and how great they were doing; “It’s crazy but true”.

Mike battled M.S. for the majority of his life after being diagnosed at the age of 18. He was fortunate enough to live in Sherbrooke Community Centre for the last 17 years of his life; a few of those years spent only a floor away from his mom so their Thursday visits were extremely easy to coordinate.

Mike is predeceased by his Mom Joanne Gayle Lindsay (nee Coleman) and step Dad Bill Lindsay.

He is survived in loving memory by his Dad Dennis (Bev) Belliveau, Sisters Danielle Lindsay and Terra Belliveau, Step Brother Jim (Carol) Lindsay, Step Sister Lorie (Mark) Schwanbeck, his Daughter Lindsay (Luke) Anderson, Son Coleman (Shannon) Skrudland, Grandchildren Oscar, Adler, Benni, Winslet and Rocki, his Niece Flynn, lifelong best friend Brent Lewis along with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Our Dad was treated very well with loving support from Joan and Bob Campbell, along with their family, and we thank them for that. Our family is also very grateful for all the incredible staff and friends in the Sherbrooke Community. The love and support you have shown has been outstanding and we are so grateful. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sherbrooke Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

There will be a funeral service held at Sherbrooke Community Centre on Monday February 12th at 2:00pm. He will be buried in Leroy, SK at a later date.
