To the Family of Angus Addley,
I had hoped to be able to attend the Service to commemorate the life of Angus Addley, but have another event that day, arranged weeks ago, and very much regret that Lillian and I will not be able to be there.
During my time as Bishop in Prince Albert, we travelled to the little Church of St. George's in Loon Lake and discovered your parents, who who also happened to be friends of our parents (from Spruce Lake!). It was a happy meeting, and from the beginning we knew them as friends.
When we moved back to Saskatoon in 1993, we were soon able to reconnect. They made us very welcome, meals in their homes, links to Preston Park 2 across the street from our Condo.
We knew them as down to earth, good Saskatchewan people! While we are unable go join you at the Service of remembrance, we join the many who thank God for their lives. I know the tradition of community involvement lives on in the family!
