With our deepest sympathy. The family will be remembered in our prayers. Rudy was a wonderful gentleman. We (my husband Frank and I) remember meeting him for the first time when we made a three week visit to Pico, Azores with my mother. My mom, Evelina, and his lovely wife, Justina, are cousins so that meant we were related to this lovely man. We remember one late afternoon when we were returning to Pico by boat from a day trip to San Jorge. Our plan was to walk back to Tio Manuel's house which was up the hill from the boat landing. Well, Rudy wouldn't have any of that. He was there to pick us up and take us to Tio Manuel's. We joked that the real reason he picked us up was that it was close do dinner time, and he didn't want to wait for dinner should we be late walking back from the boat dock. The truth--he was a great man, a gentleman, and always caring about his friends and family. Rest in peace Rudy. You will be missed. Love, Frank and Linda
