I’m not great with words, but man the world lost a good one when Ian Duff was called home. A loving husband to Marina and a proud father to Jenna and Graeme. If you ever wanted to watch a man filled with pride and joy; you just needed to sit back and watch him talk about his wife and children while eating delicious food around their dinner table.
Whenever we visited, Ian always made my wife and I feel welcome in his home, ensuring we were filled to the brim with an amazing meal, hilarious stories and most of all love. Ian, you made us feel like we were bigger than life. You’ll be missed my friend, more than you’ll ever know.

A common thread always mentioned when mentioning the Duff family is being welcomed into their home as family, this is no exaggeration they were generous like no other with their home and their love.
I’ve known the Duffs for about 20 years through Graeme and am fortunate to have too many good memories shared with them just to pick one. Guaranteed you left a full stomach, full soul and some part of you sore from laughing.
When I imagine Ian in my mind there is no instance where he is not smiling, his magnetic presence and ability to make everyone feel like they were the one person he had been looking forward to seeing was unmatched and what made him one in a million.
He will always have a place in my heart and all my love to Marina, Jenna and Graeme

This loss has been very difficult to process. I've known the Duff family for 20 years through their son Graeme. Throughout the years Ian and Marina were a constant source of laughs, love, support, and encouragement. Talking with a friend at the memorial, he poignantly remarked "Everyone was welcome in the Duff house, they took care to make sure you never left empty. When it was time to leave, you were full of laughs, love, and incredible food. Everyone who walked into their home was embraced as family and always welcomed back in the same way". This was just the way it was in the Duff household, both Ian and Marina worked together beautifully to make this happen. I consider myself blessed to have been a part of it.
I fondly remember Ian as someone who was fast with a great joke or hilarious remark and even faster to laugh at his own joke. Thinking about him, I can hear his laugh and see his smiling face. He embraced the fun in life and did his very best to make sure the people around him were having a great time. Ian had another quality that was on display for the word to see; he was fiercely proud of his children. Seeing him at sporting events and being around them during family dinners, Ian's pride and love was always on display.
Saying he was a "good guy" scratches the surface of how amazing Ian was. I will miss him.
Condolences to all of the Duff family, Ian's friends, and co-workers in their loss.

My dear friend Ian you will be greatly missed, you were an awesome friend, mentor and sounding board. I appreciate all the times you let me vent off frustrations, losses and successes. By the way buddy I owe you lunch. To the Duff family I extend my most heart felt condolences as this will be a great loss to your team. Stand tall and be very proud of the man you called father and husband, he was truly one of the "good guys"
