I met Gordon through Sandra Shelmerdine and Marlo and Story Johnson. I’ll never forget what an impression he made the first time we met. Marlo told him that I couldn’t get plastic grocery bags in AB anymore but that I liked to have them at our acreage. So, for Christmas that year I got a cube of plastic grocery bags that Gordon had collected for me and folded and stacked so perfectly. There must have been 200 bags in there. I was overwhelmed, I had only met him one time and he did that for me. He was a very special man with a very big heart and will certainly be missed.

Dear Glenn and Menuz family,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Gord. He was such a gregarious man. I don't think I remember a time I saw him when he wasn't smiling. Celebrate the good life he enjoyed and the memories.
I always remember his overpowering aftershave when he'd drive us to school on frigid winter mornings ;-). He was a good Dad.
