Claude and I would like to send our condolences to the Gillies family. We will miss Bob, especially at Paul and Pam's new years parties. Bob was a gentle, quiet man to talk to, which was a refreshing change from the age of loud, hard discourse we live in.

Agnes and Family: Fran and I just learned of the death of Bob. Our deepest sympathy. We had so many good times while together in Saskatoon. Bob taught Art the important issue in Corrections- treating all with respect. That teaching served me well throughout my career in Corrections and generally in life. Bob was one of a kind- a super boss, a great friend, a well known family man. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to you, Agnes, and your family. I met Bob in the early 1970’s when he was at the Edmonton parole office and I was at the Regina parole office. We were colleagues at the National Parole Board for 5 years and had further contact while he was at the Regional Psychiatric Centre. Throughout those many years, his commitment to family and dedication to his profession were always very evident. He was truly a good man and what a legacy he has left for you to cherish.

I was a nurse throughout Mr Gillies' years as Director at RPC. I was at RPC for 30+ years and he was the best Director we had. My condolences to the family.

Condolences to Rita, Bob’s sister, and one of my favorite cousins. To his wife and the entire Gillies family, thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember the week uncle Harold (great uncle) passed away. Bob’s dad. My mom and dad thought so highly of uncle Harold. And tante Denise, Bob’s mom. She was a gem. It seems Bob lived a life that certainly had his parents smiling. And it doesn’t surprise me. I knew he was always improving himself/studying.This was inspiring to me.Thank you. RIP
