Obituary of Douglas Michael Ellingsen
With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of Douglas Michael Ellingsen. Doug will be missed for his sense of humour, kindness and compassion for others, creativity and the twinkle of mischief in his eye.
Doug loved cooking, spending time with his family, and looked forward to weekly calls with his siblings. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether working around the acreage or exploring while traveling. He was a creative problem solver who could fix nearly anything. He was driven to make the most of his travel experiences and instill a sense of adventure in his children.
Doug is survived by his wife Nea Ellingsen and two sons, David (Cera) Ellingsen and Graham (Amanda) Ellingsen, three siblings Sharon (Mette) Ellingsen, John (Leona) Ellingsen and Lavonne Ellingsen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family. He was predeceased by his mother and father Jorgine and Emil Ellingsen.
A Celebration of Doug’s life will be held for family and friends in the summer. In lieu of flowers, for those so wishing, donations in memory of Doug may be made to Lung Saskatchewan.
