My sympathies to Lyle’s family. It is a true tribute to him that I remember meeting him when I was a little girl of about 7 years and he showed my Dad and I property at Candle Lake. Dad bought the property and he built our first cottage there. Dad talked of Lyle often as a true gentleman who was kind and helpful to him. Dad built a couple more cotttages selling the last one a few years before he died. I see that Candle Lake was a special place for Lyle and his family. Thank you to Lyle it was our special family place too.

I was saddened to hear of Lyle's passing. I met him in Regina and years later was surprised to encounter him in Saskatoon. He was a gentleman with whom I was fortunate to have worked with in Regina and for whom I had great respect. My condolences to his family.

We just heard of Lyle's passing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him especially those of us at Candle. We always love going to the lake in the summer and catching up with our old friends and playing a game of cards or two. We will miss him greatly. Our condolences to Irene and family.

We were sorry to hear the news of Lyle's passing. We would always look forward to seeing Lyle and Irene every summer at Candle Lake. He was the perfect neighbor and friend. When we were out doing projects in the yard Lyle would often wonder over and offer and helping hand. You could always count on a visit and a story or two. There will be a hole in our Candle Lake community that cannot be replaced. We will miss him and remember him fondly.
Love Calvin, Donna and Lexi
