Obituary of Jeanette Marie Hepburn
On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Jeanette Marie Hepburn, loving partner to Dave Hepburn, passed away at the age of 72. Jeanette is the mother to 4 children. Coralee (Mishelle), Colby (Kristy-Rae), Kristel (OJ) Guskjolen and Trevor. She adored and spoiled her 5 Grandchildren and is best remembered by Tianna, Clyde, Cohen, Lucy and Layla. She will be greatly missed by all and touched many hearts in her life.
Jeanette and Dave were married on February 1st, 1975 and often spent their 47+ years of marriage exploring beaches and soaking in the sunshine during anniversary time and other instances. Jeanette was a Registered Nurse who worked at Saskatoon City Hospital, and primarily at Sunnyside Nursing Home for 30+ years. She was well recognized for her dedication to patients, colleagues and to the nursing profession.
Jeanette was the eldest of 18 children, born to Bill and Ethel Cey of Scott, Saskatchewan. Her love for her Brothers, Sisters, children and their families was a continuing focus in her life. Sisters Doreen (Brian) Larrivee, Marion (Herb) Schell, Kathy (Dean) Miller, Karen (Ron) Johnson, Patty (Dennis) Fenrich, and Lori (Darrell) Gruber, along with Brothers Gerry (Maureen) Cey, Kenny (Heather) Cey, Lester (Pam) Cey, Kevin Cey, Bob (Sherry) Cey, Harold (Thelma) Cey, Roger (Maggie) Cey, Jamie (Lori) Cey, Joe (Laurie) Cey, Mike (Laura) Cey and Gary (Erolanda) Cey. Her love spread far and wide with a large special family along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jeanette was predeceased by her Father Bill, Mother Ethel, brother Kenny, niece Cassandra, nephews Daniel, Keith, Scott and Benjamin.
Jeanette was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Jeanette was beautiful and youthful with a photogenic smile and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her children and grandchildren, witnessing all of the kids’ sports, arts, recitals, dancing and trumping everyone during any card game throughout the years. Jeanette loved music, to sing and play the piano and would often give credit to her mother when being complimented for her wonderful voice and numerous talents. Jeanette was also an avid gardener, enjoyed watching curling and was a dedicated Blue Jays baseball fan. Above all, she had a beautiful and private relationship with her God, who guided her throughout life.
Jeanette lived a gentle grace-filled life and our family will miss her dearly!
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Wednesday October 5th for a come and go between the time of 2-5 PM at the W.A Edwards Family Centre, 333 4th Ave N, Saskatoon, Sask., directly across from the Saskatoon Funeral Home.
