My Grandfather instilled ethics for hard work, and I am reminded daily. Grandpa gave 110% on everything in his life. With a fantastic smile, dedication, and sense of humor, he got the job done! This great picture summarizes his happiness in a job well done! Thank you for all that you have taught me to be a better man. So many candid pictures you will find of him will be in work clothes, with a hammer, tool, and always a smile. Chris

Grandpa's life was such a blessing to me these past 21 years of knowing him and being part of his family. His gentle way, faith, patience and love has been such an example to me. I will always remember grandpa on our shared birth date. I will always cherish all the beautiful pieces of furniture and art he gifted us with. I will keep all the wonderful memories our family shared with him close to my heart. I will try to live my life by the lessons he taught me. May you rest in peace grandpa. I love you! Sandy

I will never forget that long winter storm trip from Winnipeg to Saskatoon in our family van with bad windows. It was cold and miserable and then we got stuck at a road closure on the number one. Robert (or as we called him; Grandpa- despite no actual blood relation) was with us on that trip. He stayed so sweet and positive. Never complained and was such a calming presence. That 9 hour trip took 12 hours I think and he still liked us after that! He was a good man. He always made our large and loud family feel welcome and loved. Grandpa, may you now relish in the fruits of your faith and love of Christ. Rest peacefully in the arms of your loving creator. To Grandma, Lorraine, Chris, Cary, and Jenny and your families, may you draw comfort in your faith and knowing he was well loved by you all. Lots of love and prayers as you mourn. Gina Borges Dallas
