I offer my condolences to all of Florence’s family. She was one very special person with a heart of gold, time to visit with everyone, a very talented, organized person with whom it was a pleasure to work. She always greeted you with her warm smile and was always willing to help in whatever way she could. I enjoyed my encounters with Florence. May she now Rest In Peace after a lifetime of devotion to her family and friends. She has left us with many fine memories and stories.
With Sincere Sympathy,
Lynda Browning.

Ron Gruending posted a condolence

Ron and Glorianne Gruending send their condolences to Florence's family. Florence was a very special lady. She was exhuberant and lived life to the full. When we would pop in to Edwin and Florence's lovely cabin at Sandy Point we were always heartily welcomed. She loved to chat and always asked about our family. Edwin and Florence were our closest neighbour to the north of the Gruending homestead. In fact, Mary Gruending(Ron's grandmother) was the midwife at Edwin's birth). When Hugo and Madeline went to Hugo's brother's funeral in BC for a week it was Edwin who came over each day to see how Ron(age12) was doing running the farm. Florence was a strong matriarch, rising above the very early and sudden death of Alfred and going on to marry Edwin and expand and care for their family. Florence and Edwin will live on in their children and their famillies.
