My memories of Third Ave always include Sammy. He was a wonderful, kind, helpful man. My condolences go to Phyllis and the family. These photos are from great memories at the church.

So sorry on the loss of Sam. Sad to loose another of our childhood Dads. I would be there if not for these wacky times but I send all my love and hugs for all.

Remembering a trip to Saskatoon to visit Sammy and "Phillie". Sammy, with excitement, invited me on a bike ride to a neighbourhood store and back. Through back lanes, over a pedestrian bridge spanning the highway and along city streets while never stopping until arriving at our store destination. Full of energy he was. I could hardly keep up to him with the pace he set. I picture him now riding his bike from cloud to cloud, like "E.T." in the movie. What a man!.....Our loss is Heavens' Gain! RIP Uncle Sam......... Condolences, Irene/John Paterson
