I got to know Georgie because of my friendship with her aunt Vivian Irene (Tubb) Moore. Georgie and I only encountered each other maybe 5 times over the years mainly because I seldom get to Saskatoon. If I were asked to describe her I would say a real lady who practised Christian charity on a daily basis and possessed a kind and ebullient nature and constant intellectual curiosity. Whoever wrote her obituary captured the true Georgie in one sentence: "She was a woman of remarkable integrity!" And so she was!

Georgie was very dedicated to advancing the abilities of everyone to have the ability to read . Many an hour was spent in the Star Phoenix directed by Georgie board room working with a diverse group with the the same purpose to promote the ability to read. Sincerely Doug Lovegrove Saskatoon

Georgie did indeed make me feel a very welcome visitor to Wiggins on many overnight stays to visit Jan. And her warmth and softness certainly was extended to me. But mostly I knew her beautiful and wonderful reflection in Jan, Margie, Linda and Kathy. I knew her generous and faithful reflection in my grandparents' experiences of her. I learned more about Georgie at this wonderful service - and yet not one thing was truly new because I had seen all of her before, in her beloveds and in mine.
The Lord will indeed watch between thee and she while you are absent one from the other. And be assured that she will be with each of you - because she already always was.
Love to you all,
Susan

My sympathy and prayers to Georgie's family. She was a firecracker! I joined the Reading Council and was lucky to meet and work with Georgie. Her commitment to children and literacy were inspiring.

My deepest condolences to Georgie's family. I was shocked, and saddened, to hear of her death. She was a wonderful, kind, and compassionate person. My mom - also a Georgie - knew her from working together at the Star-Phoenix, as well as Knox church, and I know she valued your mom's friendship a great deal.
