Saddened to hear of Sister Omit's passing ("Doreen").
I met Doreen through my sister Rose and through the New Apostolic Church many, many years ago.
Doreen was an extremely kind, considerate, thoughtful and courteous lady. I never heard her speak an unkind word of anyone.
I have fond memories of visiting Doreen with my sister and where Doreen would show us her garden and beautiful flowers; her offering you an unlimited amount coffee with a variety of sweet delicious home baking goods; and her sharing of so-called easy planned recipes (not easy for me because I cannot cook well).
I believe Doreen was met with opened arms by Neil and previous loved ones and friends. Doreen continues to show her hospitality in eternity with new souls. A fond farewell to you Doreen.
My condolences to the family. May you find comfort, peace and strength in each other.

We loved having Doreen join our family when our daughter married her grandson. We enjoyed having her join our family at many Thanksgiving celebrations. She was a joy to be around - a life force to model one’s self after. She was an honour to know and will be missed.

I was so sad to hear of Doreen's passing. I lived across the street from Doreen on Carleton Drive and many times we had coffee and home baked dainties and a nice visit. She always gave me a tour of her garden and helped me when I had any questions about mine. She was such a sweet, gentle lady whom I considered a lovely friend.
My condolences to all of her family., she will be sadly missed.

Aunty Doreen, I am sorry I did not have much contact with you, or get to know you over the years. But, I wish you peace, now, free from suffering. Sadly, I dont have memories to share, other than seeing you at the family reunion in Saskatoon, and thinking how beautiful and youthful, you, and the other family members, all looked, and how much love there was between all the family.
