Linda Ball passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care, Saskatoon, SK on October 23, 2019 with her best friend by her side. Linda was born January 16, 1952 in Edmonton, AB to Christian and Irene Frank and grew up with her brother and sister in Drayton Valley, AB. It was at the Drayton Valley High School in 1969 that she met her best friend, Jim. They were married August 28, 1971. They had 2 children, Dana born in 1973 and Jeff, born in 1975. Linda always arranged her work schedule so she was always home before and after school. Linda loved numbers and helping people and in 1982 became a CGA (Certified General Accountant). She was so proud of this profession. Jim and Linda moved around a lot and loved the new cultures and adventures in each place. She was always up for some fishing in Northern Saskatchewan or a good concert in Saskatoon. She had a passion for travel, including Motorcycle trips across the USA, yearly trips to Fairmont for golf, and of course Aruba, where Jim and Linda own a timeshare. Linda was forever the planner and organizer and always had everything arranged for every trip. Her passion, kindness and courage will be deeply missed. Linda is survived by her husband and best friend, Jim Ball; daughter, Dana (Allan); son, Jeff (Lesley); 5 grandchildren, Kristie, Julia, Carter, Sloan (Alanna) and Jasmine (Brandon);3 great-grandchildren, Taylor, William, Payton; brother, Murray; brother-in-law, Michael; sister-in-law Patricia and various aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Christian and Irene and sister, Patsy. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at 1:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church (2801 Preston Ave). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care.
