Obituary of Melvin Dean Ford Howard

It is with great sadness the Howard family announces Melvin Howard’s passing, on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the age of 86, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Melvin was born on September 13, 1933, on the Boyd Farm, east of Hanley, in the Sunny Valley District, in the RM of Lost River. On August 6, 1956, he married Marlene Houseman. Together, on the farm, where Melvin and Marlene currently reside, they raised one daughter, CarolLynn, and three sons, Trevor, Robert and Devery.
Melvin was predeceased by his parents, Elmer Harold (Barney) and Frances, his brother, Leslie, and his brother-in-law, Frank Rupert.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Marlene, of 63 years; daughter, CarolLynn (Paul) VerDoorn, grandson, Sean (Yolanda), great-grandsons, Andrew, Christian and Daniel, grand daughter Erica (Jarod) Stone; Sons, Trevor (Wendy), Robert and Devery; brother, Lorne (Dixie), sister, Brenda Rupert, sisters-in-law Shaaron (Leslie Howard, decd.), Donalyn (John) Carlin and Constance Stephenson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his life will be held in Saskatoon on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Edwards Family Centre, 333 4th Ave. N. Courtesy parking is available across the street at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
