Obituary of Melinda Leslie Ford
A beloved daughter, sister, auntie, wife, coworker and friend. Melinda was born in North Battleford, SK. and grew up in Saskatoon, SK. Her career began in a medical office. Melinda then moved into law as a legal secretary working for Jim Neumeyer, Tony Merchant and eventually Department of Justice Canada. She was highly valued for her excellent work, intelligence and diligence. Melinda was a key member of the legal team supporting Residential School survivors. Her work lives on in the lives of many families. Melinda would not back away from challenges in her work or personal life. A steadfast friend, she always had time to listen and then offer heartfelt and practical support. Her love for her family, friends and also pet dogs will always live on. She will be deeply missed by all whose life she touched including her brother, Guy Marjerrison and his children Paul, Heidi and Andy; sister Melanie Hounjet and her children Lionel, Carlin, and Celine; sister Darcy Richards and her daughter Laura; and her life-long friend Donna Scott. The family deeply appreciates Fifth Medicine and ICU of St. Paul’s Hospital for the love, compassion and excellent care they provided. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation.
