Sending our deep regrets and love to all of Jack's beloved family.
Our dear Railway friend will live on in our memory, his love of Railway Rules Training and sharp sense of humour bought all of us very close on the track or in the coffee shop.Jack's mentorship greatly influenced me in my railway career.
Thank you Jack.

Dear Marion and family,
I was so saddened to hear about Jack. I knew Jackie in a variety of capacities in life. He was my friend, we were band mates, we were both passionate about motorcycles and fast cars, he was a coworker with my father, and he was a patient of mine. In all my years practicing medicine, Jackie was the only patient who ever brought a musical instrument to a medical appointment! He was very proud of his Selmer saxophone indeed.
Jackie was resilient. Jackie and my father survived a caboose fire, which would have killed a mere mortal. Jackie survived a stroke that should have left him incapacitated, but through sheer determination he regained his ability to walk, and eventually was able to drive again.
Anyone who met Jackie quickly realized that he had the gift of the gab. He could converse with anyone at anytime, making them instantly feel comfortable. He had a one liner for every situation, and could make lite of even the most serious situations in life. I think he probably did sell refrigerators to Eskimo's!
It gives me solace to believe that Jackie is once again riding the rails with my Father. Their friendship, which was forged in fire, has been rekindled.

My condolences to the Stephenson family on the passing of Jack. When I was growing up in Eastview, Jack was one of the neighbours who I could go up to and chat with at any time and have a good one-on-one conversations with. I always admired his old Mustang and motorcycle, and was greatly appreciative when Jack went out of his way to 'protect' my cat while I was out of town with the Army! I still have a photo of that somewhere!

Our sincere condolences to Jacks Family. I first met Jack in the early 1950s and worked with him as a crew member. Marion is a good friend to our family, especially was to Barb. Jack was a unique rule instructor that made the classes interesting. His hallmark wording RTFQ2 will be remembered by all those who attended his class. Lois & Ed.
