My condolences for the family and friends of Mrs. Davis. Mrs. Davis was my Kindergarten teacher in 1970-'71 at Greystone Heights, and I remember how she was a great warm hearted teacher to have; she especially made the beginning of one's schooling a good way to start. She certainly was a blessing in my life!! I'm sure that many are thankful how she positively impacted them in a great way over her long life!!

My deepest condolences to the entire Davis family on the passing of
Mrs. Davis. The McLeod "clan" had many great times with your family
in Leroy. Although we are far-flung now, whenever I think of Edith and
all the Davis family, I have a great smile. When people say that families
from Saskatchewan are the "salt of the earth", the Davis family is my
first thought. My sympathy is with you all. Brydon

Edith was a much loved sister-in-law, kind in so many ways. Edith and my eldest brother, Clayton were married while I was in Nurses Training at Grey Nun's Hospital, Regina, Sask. Sadly I was unable to attend. Edith understood my abiding love and desire for 'green apple pie', available only at a certain time of year, early fall. I shall never forget my delight (also classmates) when her coveted parcel arrived. Classmates have a keen sense of when others receive a parcel from home, they all gather in hopes of sharing, sometimes Edith included Sharp Cheddar. Oh Bliss!
Further, both brother Jack and I were still in High School when Edith taught grades 6,7 and 8 in an adjoining classroom, connected with a door which was closed except when the High School Principal was out or away. Edith had a unique way of controlling a chaotic room, she would merely STARE at the culprits, Jack and Bob Johnson were quickly subdued in midst of throwing missiles. Our family were overjoyed when Clayt returned in 1946 after the War was over, met and married Edith.
I was fortunate to be present along with Clayt to witness the joyous birth of Twin Boys, Doug and David in the LeRoy hospital, Nurse Brown attending, October 1949. Clayt won a pool of money, having bet Edith would have twins. He had inside information! You are missed, Edith, rest in Peace, love Margmargaret
