Mary’s family announces she passed away peacefully on November 11, 2018 in Saskatoon at age 90. She is survived by her children: David and wife Georganne, children Aaron and Jaryd; Dan and children Zachary, Ethan, and Matthew; and Deborah and children Joel and Elijah. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Louise Puskarenko; her husband, Steve; brother Alex (Elsie) and sisters and their husbands Ethel (Frank), Carol (Steve), Anne (Bill)
Mary was born August 15, 1928, on a farm in the Trojan district. She later moved to Saskatoon for school. After graduation Mary was employed as a bookeeper for twenty seven years. In 1948 she married Steve and they had three children – Dave (Georganne); Dan; and Deborah. Grand-children; Aaron, Jarryd, Joel, Zachary, Ethan, Matthew, and Elijah.
Mary’s faith was very strong and she was a very active parishoner with St Frances Xavier Church, CWL member, spent many hours each year helping with The Bishop annual appeal, and volunteer at the Queen’s House of Retreat Centre.
Mary always valued family and truly loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her favourite moments were cooking special meals for every family holiday. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her grandchildren who brought her so much joy and laughter.
Mmeorial doantions maybe made to a Donor’s choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday, November 17 at St Frances Xavier Parish – lunch will be served after mass
