Obituary of Colette Guzik
Marie Jacqueline Colette Guzik (nee Beaudin),
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Colette Guzik on January 7, 2018 at the age of 76. Colette was born on Feb. 16, 1941 to the late Katherine and Babe Beaudin in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted Guzik, and her sister, Louise Pearson. Colette will be fondly remembered by her son, Jan (Orla); daughter, Lara (Aaron); grandson, Nash, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Trained as an RN (Grey Nuns - 1962) she met Ted at the University of Saskatchewan and they married in 1966. Colette and Ted built their home in Clavet, SK where Colette’s green thumb flourished. She doted over her flower beds in the spring and harvested glorious goods from her garden in the summer and fall. Colette was the ultimate host: chopping, cutting, stirring and sampling; her gourmet creations were a staple in her cedar log house that blessed the mouths of many a friend and relative. Colette’s path was to be a giver and she did just that with the deepest compassion, love and care and always in her quiet selfless way. Colette was wise, gracious, and compassionate. Special thanks to the family at Riverbend Crossing in Regina who supported Colette to live her final years with dignity, happiness and love.
