Our condolences, Lara, Jan, and your families.
I had the pleasure of living with Colette, Louise and Bev Robertson for my last year of university in Saskatoon, 1965/66. We shared a two bedroom basement flat. For the first semester, Louise, Bev and I made Campbell's soup. Collette cooked dinners from the Time Life series of international cookbooks. We oohed and aahed and ate. After Christmas, Colette sat us down and informed us that she wasn't cooking another meal for the rest of the school year. Thanks to her example and wonderful tutelage, we learned our way around the kitchen.
Colette and Ted also taught us how not to spend a Saturday night. Ted would probably be over for dinner (he did supply us with lots of meat from the farm); and then Ted and Colette would decide on what they would do for the evening. After two or three hours of increasingly heated discussion, no decision was made and Ted would leave, slamming the door behind him. I guess they got all the arguing out of the way before they were married.
Both were gracious, hospitable people and will be sorely missed. Sandra

My friend Colette. So many memories, RGNH classmates, Roommates in Saskatoon, Nursing professors at St. Paul's, Dating Ted and Jim, so much fun and so many memories. You were a great wife, mom, sister, and so patient with so much on your plate. Rest in peace my friend.

I send my sincere condolences to the family of Colette. I hope there is some comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always and the strength in the companionship of those who share your loss.
We share a history that is memorable. Mr. Dummer, Colette’s Maternal grandfather was lured to Regina, Saskatchewan by my maternal grandfather Karl Molter just before Saskatchewan became a province. As time passed, Kay Dummer and my mother Marie Molter became fast friends. They both married, and in time Collette and I were born. Both mothers worked, and the time spent on the telephone visiting. Colette and her sister Louise, joined by myself, used to set up a Monopoly Game and the game would go on for a couple of days. Unfortunately, you and your brother never had the opportunity to meet our kids. And so ends the story!
