I had the pleasure of working with Derby in his capacity of Justice of the Peace. No where will you find a man of his stature: fair, even-handed and professional. He was a significant influence on me when I was first appointed, both assisting and guiding me. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family--while you have lost a treasured member of your family circle, please be aware that many others, including myself, share your loss and wish you the best in the coming weeks, months and years.
