Obituary of Boris John Maduke

Boris John Maduke 1931 - 2017 Boris John Maduke, age 86, of Saskatoon, died suddenly on Friday, May 12, 2017. He is survived by his wife Anne (Foxcroft) Maduke, his three children: Shaun Turner, Joe Maduke and Jane Maduke (Ian Beales); his sister Marie (Maduke) Kishchuk, brother-in-law Boris Kishchuk and their five children; sister-in-law Orysia Maduke and niece Tricia. He is also survived by grandsons, Christopher (Levay) Turner and Patrick (Alanna) Turner and great-grandson, Leo Turner. He is predeceased by his father John H. Maduke (1960), his mother, Mary (Kordiak) Maduke (1981), twin sons Daniel and David at birth (1960), nephew John G. Maduke, son of Orysia and Bohdan (1982) and brother Bohdan Maduke (2009). Boris was born in Rosthern in 1931 to John H. and Mary (Kordiak) Maduke. He attended Nutana Collegiate where he honed his ability to make great friends where ever he went. He swam competitively and participated in several team sports. In 1953, Boris married Anne Foxcroft. They built their home and raised their children in Saskatoon. He was an accomplished administrator at the Royalite Oil Refinery, the Co-operative College of Canada and the University of Saskatchewan. He was an avid golfer throughout his life and was a great organizer of golf vacations and tournaments which fostered great life-long friendships. He was a loving, generous and steadfast father with a piercing, loud whistle he used to call his kids home for supper. He served the City of Saskatoon on the Zoning Appeals Board and was an active volunteer with the Anglican Church. Good-bye, Boris. You'll be in our hearts forever.

Funeral

A service will be held Thursday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at Saint Stephen's Anglican Church, 10 Grosvenor Crescent, Saskatoon. Memorial donations made to the Alzheimers Association of Saskatchewan (301, 2550 - 12 Avenue, Regina, Sask. S4P 3X1) would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
