I am sorry to hear of the loss of Mel. He and Harvey gave me my first job after college with Turner transport and he treated me as a daughter for the couple years i worked for him. He made sure my car was in safe condition and would often tease me making the days very memorable. He was the best boss i have ever had and have often thought of him in the years since i left. I have missed him for years since i left Turner Transport and will continue to miss him. Sorry for your loss, i am sure you all must miss him.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Mel's passing. I enjoyed playing hockey with Mel for many years, where his quick wit and sense of humour kept the dressing room interesting. I always made a point of getting to the dressing room early to get a good seat close to Mel, so as not to miss any of the action. He made sure that we went on to the ice for our games, laughing all the way. It was always a joy spending time with Mel, whether it was hiking in Arizona or over coffee. The conversation was never boring. Our condolences to the family. Mel will be missed, but never forgotten.
