Obituary of Eileen Hamilton
It is with sadness that the family announces that the death of (0live) Eileen Hamilton occurred on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her residence, Oliver Lodge, in Saskatoon. She is survived by 8 children and their families; Claude (Joyce) Hamilton, Louise Hamilton, Bruce (Violet) Hamilton, Brenda (Ron) Hoglin, Dwain (Lynn) Hamilton, Barbara Clancy, Sydney (Tim) Donegan, and Debbie Grenier as well as 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father Romulus Claude James Jr. and mother Frances Lucille James, three brothers; Myles (Lil), Chester (Norma) and Kenneth (Elsie), Sister Evelyn James, step mother Isabel James, mother-in-law Maude (Claude) Hamilton, brother-in-law William (Mary) Hamilton, and sister-in-law Hazel Hamilton.
Mom was born in Alsask, SK on October 12, 1918, but moved to Vanscoy, SK at a young age and was raised there and in Radisson, SK. She was a good athlete and excelled in all sports. She married Roy Hamilton in Radisson in 1936, and they had they had nine children. Roy passed away in September of 1960 and Mon raised 6 children on her own with the help of grand parents. Raising six children was no easy feat but not only did she achieve her goal, she it managed extremely well with all of them succeeding in their lives. Mom lived in the Mayfair area of Saskatoon and belonged to Mayfair United Church. She did not have much extra time but loved to bowl, and play cards, as well she loved visiting her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her visits with her step mother Isabel James and sister Evelyn James in Calgary AB.
