Helen Woykin of Langham, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully Friday, August 14, 2015 at the age of 83 at St. Paul's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born October 2, 1931 to parents Jacob and Aganetha Fehr in the Great Deer area. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Aganetha Fehr, sister Annie Fehr, sister-in-law Annie Fehr, brother-in-law Andrew Pidwerbesky and brother-in-law Henry Fehr. Helen will be missed by her loving husband William of 64 years and children, Leona, Jeanette (Wilf) Stringer, Cindy (Barry) Finley, Elaine (Travis) Kieluk, Sherry (Rakesh) Kaushik, her eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and her extended family Donna Brownbridge. She is also survived by her brother, Jake (Mary), sisters Susie, Mary and Margaret, brother-in-law Len (Marg) and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen married William Woykin on June 8, 1951. They lived on the family farm near Langham until the time of her passing. In her early years she worked at the Borden Hospital with her sister Susie. Helen was very involved in the operation of the family farm. Helen was best known for her homemade bread and buns, borscht, gingersnap cookies and recently developed a rib recipe loved by all. Helen enjoyed reading about the Royal Family and various other topics. She was an avid gardener and especially loved her flowers. She was one of the most hard working, strong minded and big hearted women that we were blessed to call our wife and mother.
