Obituary of Alice Maloff

Alice Maloff July 1, 1919 – December 18, 2016 Our dear mom passed away peacefully in her sleep at Villa Royale on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 97 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Elaine (Alex) Derkachenko and Donna (Larry) Henderson both of Saskatoon. She also leaves behind five grandsons, Lorne (Joanna Rossen) Derkachenko, Brad (Lori) Derkachenko, Les (Stacey) Derkachenko, Blair (Carey) Derkachenko and Scott Bernard, also eleven great grandchildren; The Derkachenkos-Lane, Cole and Leah, Jordan and Kaitlyn, Kaije and Taylor, Riley and Tally, Rhet and Sara Bernard, two step great grandchildren Carmella and Thianna as well as nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Alex in January of 1999, her parents, John and Agatha Podovelnikoff, her twin sister Lida Kabaroff in 2013, sister Polly Makaroff in 2003 and sister Florence Moffatt in 1990. Mom was born in Blaine Lake and her and dad were married in October of 1940. They farmed at Langham until their retirement in 1984 when they moved to Saskatoon. In December of 2006 mom moved to Villa Royale where she resided until her passing. Mom was a very giving individual and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
