Obituary of Mary Kathleen Maclennan
It is with sadness and recognition of a life well lived that the family announces the passing of Kay Maclennan following a brief illness. Kay was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Eleanor Wright, her husband James "Mac", her son Bruce, brother Jim (Del), and sister Lorraine (Duncan). She is survived by her brother William (Darlene), daughter Lorraine (Terence), son Ian, daughter Eleanor Joan (Keith), her grandchildren Adam (Nicole), Sarah, Mallory (Marshal), Scott, Kai, and Mia and her great-grandchildren Keaton, Duncan, Malcolm and Nora. Kay was known for her kindness and generosity. In 2012 she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her volunteer work and her philanthropy. Kathleen appreciated her friends in the White Rock "Kwatcha" group of the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary Society where she volunteered for forty years raising money for the hospital. She also appreciated her Saskatoon Community at the Primrose Chateau where she was an active participant. Kathleen valued the weekly phone calls from her niece, Joss Maclennan of Toronto. The family will gather at a later date to place her remains along side her husband Mac and son Bruce in the memorial wall at Victory Gardens in White Rock, BC. Donations in Kathleen's memory can be made to the Saskatoon Preschool Foundation c/o 3144 Arlington Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L5 or the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary Society c/o 15521 Russell Avenue, White Rock, BC.
