Leo was born in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan, the second youngest in a family of 14. After receiving his education in Lake Lenore, he worked as a grain buyer, with postings in several locations. He then began a career with the provincial government, living in Lloydminster, and later Regina, where he held administrative positions in various departments. During their retirement, Leo and Claire travelled throughout the world; Leo particularly liked visiting Panama. They also enjoyed camping in their RV and had many wonderful trips with the Good Sam Club. Leo also loved to head out fishing with his friends. He had a heart of gold and spent many hours volunteering with the Kinsmen, Lions and Shrine clubs, always ready to lend a hand. Leo loved his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of them and faithfully kept up with their accomplishments and activities, even during his final weeks. Though he suffered with Parkinson’s disease for many years, Leo rarely complained and was more concerned with those around him. He will be greatly missed
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leo’s name to Samaritan Place, for its garden area, where Leo and Claire spent many hours over the past few summers.
