To the Gossling and Zerr Families
Words cannot express how deeply shocked and saddened my husband and I feel on hearing the news of the passing of Cassidy..your daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend to many we are sure. We just met Cassidy on the Monday of the long weekend in Oct..She had been returning home to her Mom's from spending the Thanksgiving weekend with her father.
She was stopped on the side of the highway. We drove past her and realized that she was in distress so we turned back to see how we could help. She was cold and somewhat nervous but was talking to her Mom on her phone and had been locked out of her vehicle. We had a brief encounter with the young lady and found out a few things about her. She was very sweet and thankful for us having stopped to help. Monday evening we received a call from a friend of your family explaining to us that Cassidy's Mom wanted to let us know what had happended. It is a parent's worst nightmare and we can only hope and pray that the memory and spirit of your daughter will live on and that although she was so very young and taken away much too soon she has touched the lives of many people. Thank you so much for thinking to let us know at this most tragic time in your lives. Although we cannot do anything to ease your pain we will be thinking and praying for you all.
