Rory and Rhonda: Our condolences, I first met your Dad when he was at Depot. We then were stationed together in Kamsack and we both instructed on the first Underwater Recovery Team that Lorne L was on. We also worked together on a number of Dive Recoveries in the province. I had the greatest respect for your Dad as a policeman,as a person and as a friend. The last time we shared some stories and a laugh in person was at my retirement in Lethbridge in 2003. We talked on the phone a few times after that but that was the last time I saw him. Again our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rory/Rhonda: I had the privilege of working with your Dad over a span of 10 years. I was on the first scuba team (1971) and the first ERT team(1977) in Sask both of which your Dad was one of the instructors. When Ron retired from the Dive Team I was his replacement. I have many fond memories with him on scuba courses over the years and have photos to remind me of this era. I was also part of the ERT team that accompanied the Queen on her tour of Sask. for its 75th birthday. We all called him Captain Canada a name that we all held in respect of his dedication to the Canada we love. I was sad to hear of his passing. All my love for you family at this sad time. Blessings!!
Cpl.Lorne Lazzarotto (Rtd).

I had the great pleasure of being a troop mate of Ron in training in Ottawa. His humour was part of the glue that held us together. His many accomplishments in the Force helped make the Force better and for that we should all be grateful to the man.

Please accept our sympathy at Ron's passing. We were hunting companions for years when Ron served at Depot in Regina and remember those times with great fondness

Rory & Rhonda:
I was stationed in Imperial with your Dad. There was just the two of us and I was the single Constable living in barracks. I remember you two as very young children. In fact if I remember correctly Rory was born while your parents were stationed in Imperial. Your Mom and Dad treated me like family and I appreciated it greatly. Your Dad was one of the best people I ever worked for. His guidance laid the foundation for my career, showing me a principled, fair, unbiased policing and management style. He would tolerate nothing less. Your Dad made a difference in this world. God bless you all.
