Condolences to Dr. Young's family, friends and professional colleagues. Dr Young was my high school home economics teacher. She asked me to work at the Canadian Home Economics Association convention in Regina in 1968, as she was an organizer for the convention. Through this experience and her encouragement and professionalism I realized I wanted to become an home economist. She later became my professor at the University of Saskatchewan. She was always encouraging and supportive during my schooling and professional life. She had a significant influence in my choice to become a home, family and foods writer and educator. Thank you Wanda for you mentoring!

Sincerest condolences to Dr. Young's brother and family. Like Nora and Dorothy, I was also a student of Dr. Young's in the early 1980's and she laid a foundation for my learning as I went on to become a Registered Dietitian. My family was also from Waseca, but I never knew this before today that Dr. Young lived there too.

My sincere condolences to Dr. Young's family. I was a student of Dr. Young's at the University of Saskatchewan in the late 80's and enjoyed her communications class so much it became my career focus.
