Obituary of Peter Dutchak

With sadness the family announces that Peter Dutchak of Blaine Lake passed away on his farm on September 20, 2016 at the age of 89. Peter is survived by his son Sid (Gerri) Dutchak of Calgary, grandson Jason (Amanda) and their children Ella and Charlotte of Phoenix AZ, grandson Curtis of Taiwan, granddaughter Ashley of Memphis TN, and daughter Tiona (Bob) Mutch of Furdale SK., and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his wife Susie, his brothers, Michael and Walter, and sister Marie. Peter was born on a farm west of Blaine Lake. He married Susie Boulanoff in 1949 and moved out to the current family farm several kilometers north of where he was born. In addition to operating his farm, he worked in his parents’ construction company for many years. Peter was a multi skilled person out of necessity. He was a truck driver, carpenter, welder, and equipment operator. Peter loved his mixed farm and spent all of his working life there except for a brief career as a nickel miner in Sudbury when he was 20 years old. He was a hard worker throughout his life and took pride in his work and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Funeral

The funeral service for Peter will be held at the Saskatoon Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Friday, September 23, 2016.
