We filmed Bob for an event called Revolution Forever. As always, his wry wit and sly humour had us in stitches. His tireless efforts to legalize postering in Saskatoon, the "Poster Squad" of Don Freed's song of that name, made publicizing events like marches, benefit dances and workshops something we could all do, long before social media came along. Bob ended our session by saying he hoped he would die peacefully in his house. Sounds like he got his wish. Thanks Bob, you were a peach. A crusty peach, but a peach.

Always enjoyed Bob's art...especially local buildings.
Early's delivered cat food to him in later years.
Will always remember his slogan when running for mayor...."Is the Mayor a fink...no,Fink's the Mayor!"

In the late 1970s, I was principal of King George School and Bob and Candace's children were students. Since then, Bob and I have maintained a friendship, he providing illustrations for both Partners FOR Sask River Basin and the Meewasin Valley Authority. Bob was a social activist whom I gave credit to only a few days ago when I was speaking to the Saskatoon Nature Society in reference to him leading the peaceful student protest at Wayne State University, U.S.A. back in the 60s. Citizens like Bob are so important to a democratic society to keep the rest of us honest and mindful of others. My condolences go to Bob's family. He will be missed.
