Obituary of Suzanne Hood
Sue was born and raised on a farm near the little town of Cedoux, just north of Weyburn. Started school in a one room school house and then graduated high school in Weyburn. After high school, she came to the U of S and enrolled in Home Economics but left to take up accounting. Working full time at Federated Co-ops and taking classes, she became a CMA (now CPA) over a period of years. After 15 years at FCL, she needed a change and moved jobs to the City of Saskatoon where she was until she retired.
Sue and her husband Cameron built their own home on an acreage just outside the city of Saskatoon and the word “build” in this case means that Sue was pounding spikes, lifting walls, and tarring basements right alongside other “volunteers”. She loved living in the country and when people would ask when she was moving into the city, she always replied “never”. Sue loved planting her flowerbeds, planting way too big of a garden only to look for people she could give it away to, and taking pictures of the wildlife. She was also known to dote upon her very special cats to the point of being on a first name basis with vet Dr. Elizabeth.
Sue leaves behind her husband Cameron and many nieces and nephews.
