Mary was the sweetest lady in our childhood neighbourhood. We lived one block over on 1st street and when very young often roamed over to 2nd where we felt safe and were always welcomed by Mary.. so kind. Mom thought the world of Mary in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s and later lived at Luther on Wiggins as did Mary. My mom was Marion Wilson. We often had Sunday brunch in the tower with mom and dad where mom though experiencing dementia would always find Mary’s smiling face and say something cheeky, with genuine love. It’s sad to learn today of her passing but realizing her buoyancy was very special and a testament to dignity and human value. She was a friend of the highest order and absolutely unique.
Wishing you as her family every comfort in knowing she was stellar.. Scotty Wilson

Wonderful memories of a wonderful lady. I am so happy I was able to spend the last two years with your Mom. We drank a lot of coffee together and recalled some great memories back to 1953 on. . I will never forget her positive outlook on everything.
Take care of each other.

Dear Ann and Jean,
Your mother was a very special person and a dear friend of our family. Having grown up in the same district as my father, the stories of early days in Simpson were many. Over the decades, as you know Mary and my mother became close friends.
Mary, the ultimate “can do” woman, was an inspiration to so many. I know you are missing her deeply but also respecting her ultimate decision.
As I do not have your contact info, please contact me.
I send my love to you both and extend deepest condolences to you and your families.
Myrna Fyfe (Parker)
