To the Harman Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. I was a pharmacy classmate of Nancy's , the Class of 1977. It seems like only yesterday when we were together in class and got to know each other. It was a pleasure. Nancy was a very nice person.
We are thinking of you at this sad time and want to send our Deepest Sympathy.
Sincerely, Janet and Jamie Scholz

Heartfelt prayerful support to you, Barry, and to your family, as you grieve the loss of your beloved Nancy.
I came to know Nancy when, as an “out-of-towner”, I visited my parents (Martin and Martina Materi) who lived at Carleton Towers – and who greatly benefited from Nancy’s deeply-caring spirit whenever they sought her assistance in her Medicine Shoppe. I was deeply touched by her genuine warm-heartedness and graciously-friendly spirit. Indeed, the lives of many residents at Carleton Towers were enriched by Nancy’s loving attitude towards them.
I can certainly say that my life was enriched by knowing Nancy.
Thank you, Nancy, for imaging God to us through the virtues and values you lived – virtues and values which were a blessing to all who knew you, particularly Barry and your children.
Words of St. Francis of Assisi come to mind: “Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take nothing that you have received . . . but only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage.” (Letters to rulers of people.
My wife Eileen and I believe that this is how your dearly-beloved Nancy went to God – with “a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage.”

Dear Barry, Kevin, Michael and Bryn: we were neighbours on Middleton Crescent. Remember Nancy heading off to Pharmacy classes and in the evening, she would study after the boys were in bed. Nancy took the time to sew a dress for our daughter Janet & one for myself. She also offered sound advice when our son Jeff had difficulty settling at night. Once the family moved, only saw Nancy once when I visited her at the Medicine Shoppe.
Am very sorry to read about Nancy's death. She made an impression with many and her memory lives on in each of her family and friends.
Peace be with the family.
Sincerely, Marilyn Ostryznik

Sending my sincere sympathy to you, Barry, and the family. Nancy was one of my good friends in pharmacy, always a big smile or a laugh, no matter what the college had in mind for us during those years. This continued through our profession, usually meeting at least once a year for continuing education... and the Christmas cards.
I was shocked and saddened to read the Star Phoenix page yesterday. You are right, Nancy loved the profession of Pharmacy, but not as much as she LOVED her family.... you were always the first point of our conversations over all the years. I will miss those visits very much.
Sending hugs for all of you. I am working relief in Nipawin this week and can't be with you today.
Sincerely,
Lorie
