Obituary of Pam Evans

Pamela June Evans
October 11, 1954 - May 16, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela June Evans. Pam was born and raised in Saskatoon. Pam had married and started a family at the early age of 18. By the time she was 22 Pam was married and had three wonderful children, Melanie, Stefanie, and Tim.

Pam was incredibly close to her younger sister Marcia Humenny. Marcia was 13 years younger than her, so she was raised alongside Mel, Stef and Tim. Marcia was an important member of the Evans family and spent copious amounts of time with Pam and their kids throughout the years. Pam also shared a special bond with Marcia’s son, her nephew, Rowan Humenny.

Pam was a good mom to her kids as they worked their way through school. She was never one to miss an activity and loved making homemade sound makers to cheer Tim on during his hockey games. The family was close and enjoyed their summers at Meeting Lake.

Pam had a special relationship with animals and had many dogs and cats over the years. She enjoyed reading, with a warm cup of tea, while having her special pets sit beside her.

After 24 years of marriage Pam and Roger Evans parted ways. Shortly after, Mel was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She fought hard but passed away in 2004. Stef was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed away after a courageous battle in 2009.

While Pam experienced immense tragedy throughout her life, she bravely kept moving and continued to smile.

Pam found a soulmate and life partner in Sandy Stiff. They have been an incredibly happy couple for many years. They enjoyed cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, watching curling games and attending bonspiels. Trips to The Narrows were always a highlight and they looked forward to getting together with Sandy’s family.

There are many family members waiting to give Pam hugs when she arrives at heaven’s gate. She was predeceased by her mother Leogardia Riehl; daughters Melanie Enright and Stefanie Phillips; and grandson Blake Evans.

Pam is survived by Sandy Stiff, son Tim (Erin) Evans, and their daughter Natalie, sister Marcia (Brent) Humenny; nephew Rowan Humenny; her grandchildren, as well as the Riehl, Evans and Stiff families.

A celebration of Pam's life will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 4th Avenue North).
