Robert “Bob” Jack Sikorsky
1931 - 2024
It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts the family of Bob Sikorsky announces his peaceful passing at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
Bob was born in the R.M. of Fishcreek to Peter and Anne Sikorsky. He was predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings. Bob is survived by his wife, Toni of 63 years, his children Alan (Kim) and children, Loreen (Lawrence) and children as well as Bob's grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bob joined the military in 1953 where he served overseas for almost 4 years. Upon his return, Bob took a job at the railroad while getting to enjoy his passions and hobbies. Some of his favorites included; golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards and just sitting back watching sports, reading or watching his favorite show, the Price is Right. Enjoying the cabin at the lake with an ice cold beer in hand, and travelling with his wife and family were some memories that will always be held dear.
Bob was an amazing son, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was understanding, responsible, always put his family first, and never missed an opportunity to share a life lesson. His kindness always shown brightly wherever he was, even after Alzheimer’s slowly stole parts of Bob from us. Bob eventually moved to the care of Sherbrook Community Centre until his passing. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and volunteers for their endless hours of care that was provided.
Bob's last few short days spent in St. Paul’s hospital were comforting for us. The doctors, nurses, and general staff were truly kind and supporting. We, the family, want to express our gratitude to all of you from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. Rest in Peace Bob, always loved and never forgotten.
