Obituary of Evelyn Bowman

Dorothy EVELYN Bowman

It is with sadness we advise that Dorothy EVELYN Bowman of Saskatoon passed away on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Sunnyside Care Centre in Saskatoon.

She is predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Violet Small; her brothers, Alvin and Garnet Bird and her sister, Rita. Also predeceased by her son, Robert (Bob) and her daughter, Dorothy Lynne O'Brian.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Barbara Morrison and son-in-law, David Leech, of Meaford, Ontario. She will be missed by her special friend, Roslyn Friesen.

Evelyn was much loved by her three grandsons: Michael (Rachel) in Toronto with their children Rowan, Linden and Alice; Shaun (Crystal) O'Brian from Unity with their children Brenna, Kadence and Dryden; and Scott (Karla) O'Brian of Biggar.

Music and friendships brought much joy to her during her lifetime. Evelyn was a member of St. Paul's United Church in Sutherland where she enjoyed her many friends in the choirs and in her Circle of Friends. She also sang in Saskatoon Choral Society and contributed to community players and the Opera Society and was a longtime fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. (She continued to wear the Roughrider shirt for every game).

The family is grateful to the staff at Sunnyside who have been providing such devoted and friendly care for Evelyn. Thank you also to Evelyn's family physician Dr. Brodie for her many years of care.

Dororthy Evelyn Bowman's Memorial Service with be held at St. Paul's United Church, Saskatoon, on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm where she was a lifetime member.
