Obituary of James Alexander McPhee

Jim McPhee passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024. He was 87 years old. He was the youngest of six growing up on a farm east of Tisdale. He lived on the homestead and farmed for many years with his two older brothers. Jim married Joyce in 1960 and they raised three children. He was a loving father to Elaine (Jim), Heather (Jason), Scott (Joanne) and a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren. Family visits were important, both near and far, and these included card games, singing songs and ballgames. Jim also was an avid curler and golfer and was the best dance partner. In later years, Jim and Joyce travelled to explore Canada and the US. He would greet people with an enthusiastic ‘Hello There’ and never shied away from talking about the farm in Tisdale. He loved the chit chat and to hear about everyone's lives. Jim will be remembered for his gentle and kind nature and his infectious smile. The family will hold a private remembrance at a later date.
