Obituary of Raymond Done
Ray passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He was born December 6, 1952 in Manchester, England, immigrating at the age of four to Canada, eventually settling in Carleton Place, ON. There he met his wife Ann, they married July 14, 1973. He worked at Rolarks in Carleton Place up until 1976 when he, Ann and their 2 children moved to Saskatoon, SK. Here Ray worked for Houghton Boston Printers and then Mister Print up until he was diagnosed with ALS in 1997. Ray coached his sons hockey team in the “Knights Area” for many years winning the city and provincial championships. After retirement, Ray took an interest in computers and would put together videos of family trips and vacations. He still loved to go travelling in the RV. Ray is survived by his wife Ann, loving father to Jo-Ann (Ian) Pedley and Jeremy (Colleen) Done, loving grandfather to Hailie and Kaitlin Pedley and Ethan and Sheradan Done, siblings Marion (Tim) Walford and Barb Lesway, brother-in-law Roy (Eileen) and mother and father-in-law Don and Jean Lay. He was predeceased by his father Edward, mother Marion and brother Bob. Special thanks to Ray’s regular home care personnel, who not only took care of his needs but became good friends.
