Sweet memories of Elsie (and Roy) and her fun loving family when they lived in Coronach … her beautiful smile, chalk board daily menu, teen nights at the church and catering to us sleeping over in the camper in the back yard. Rest in Peace Elsie. Love and condolences to all.

I valued Elsie's friendship after I moved to Saskatoon. I knew Roy when we were both members of Prince Albert Presbytery ,but I didn't get to know Elsie until 2011 when I moved to Saskatoon. I am grateful to Elsie for her friendship. We did many things together in Saskatoon, we attended concerts, NDP functions and church functions over the years. As well we met in Puerto Vallarta several times when we were both there at the same time. We met up at Candle Lake over the years as well. Elsie and I had many friends and connections in common and shared many similar interests so we always had something to talk about! I send my condolences to Elsie's children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. An important link in your family circle is gone and I am sure you will miss her presence in your lives.

We were always so grateful for the kindness Elsie and Roy showed us as a young family in Biggar. That friendship has spanned 45 years. I valued Elsie’s opinions ( which she ably shared) and her dedication to justice for all. I have been blessed to have her as a mentor and friend. I will miss our conversations and her Book Club recommendations!
Our condolences to the entire family, Marty and Cheryl Wilken

My sincere condolences to all of Elsie's significant others ... It was lovely to reconnect with Elsie recently at St Martin's since I have been away from Saskatchewan for many years. We met at UC Conference Annual Meetings and through the UCW. She was a very faithful, intelligent and justice-minded woman, a stalwart within the Saskatchewan United Church. Bless her, and may the legacy she has left be a gift to you as you now build a new relationship with her in spirit. May it be so...

I remember Aunt Elsie most one Christmas break when I drove her and Uncle Roy from Puerto Vallarta to Guadalajara so they could expand their travel horizons. I appreciated the fact that she wanted to experience the art and culture of non-traditional destinations for foreign travelers. She always seemed to have a keen interest in what was happening in the world. I am happy to hear that she got to pass, while happy and content, with all of her children around her. My most sincere condolences.
