Jeanne Lamy, 92, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, SK on March 12, 2024.
Jeanne was born in Redvers, SK on May 3, 1931 to parents Eugene and Marie Hardy. She was one of 5 children growing up on the farm.
At age 18, she met Robert. Soon after they were married on November 22, 1950. They started their family together in Redvers, SK. First Edward was born, followed by Lorraine, Irene and Suzanne. The family moved to Estevan, SK soon after. Jeanne stayed at home with the kids over the years and raised her family. She enjoyed many years of square dancing with the local club in Estevan. She loved gardening and spent many hours outside tending to her garden. She loved all the fresh veggies from her garden, especially tomatoes and radishes. She could grow begonias like no one else and loved her petunias. There wasn't a houseplant she couldn't grow and loved watching them sprout up new buds. Jeanne also had a love of card playing and didn't let anyone win. She also loved making photo albums of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She spent many hours making her albums just right and made sure to include each family member. She was so proud of her children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday, an anniversary or a special occasion. She was at every event and was the life of the party. Puzzling was one of her favourite past times as the years went on. Her and Robert continued to reside in Estevan until 2012, when they decided to move out of their home and into a condo in the big city of Saskatoon. She loved spending full days out shopping in the city and told Robert exactly where she wanted to go. After Robert passed in 2022, Jeanne was determined to stay in her own home and with a little assistance she was able to do just that.
Jeanne is survived by her children Edward (Lucille) Lamy of Grande Prairie, AB;
