I am sorry for your loss. I have memories of your mother and father coming over to our house when we were kids to watch TV as they never had one. We lived a few blocks from your grandfather Joe Schmidt so the families were together a lot in the early days.As time passes relatives in generations seem to drift. I did run into your mother at a reunion she was there with her husband

I am very sorry for your loss. My dad, Joseph M. Schmidt, was a cousin to Dorothy's first husband, Don. We visited Auntie Dorothy a few times after my the passing of my mom, Cecile Schmidt. She was wise and loving and full of humour. Thinking of you at this sad time.
